Ron Alexander founded the FFT® method in 1994 during his eight year appointment to the Australian Ballet.

The Australian Ballet award Ron in 1997, The Lady Southey Scholarship for Excellence. This included a 6-week study tour of Europe. Ron's passion for tape was further encouraged by Dr Karim Khan, Dr Ken Crichton and Physiotherapists Jan Smith (PhD cand) and Susan Mayes.

Ron is currently a freelance consultant for the Australian Ballet, presents FFT workshops in Australia and internationally. He currently is co-investigator of an RCT on FFT for Chronic Low Back Pain.

FFT is the subject of a PhD (Cand, Shu-Mei Chen) which includes a randomised double blind placebo controlled trial. This study is supervised by Associate Professor Cook, Professor Lo and Professor Bass.
